alisa ANDRASEK has created a refreshing language of form and structure through a series of ‘infrastructural cocoons’ comprising biothing’s entry for the seroussi pavilion competition. the cocoons squeeze and blush together forming a series of volumes and inner courtyards. the pleating detail textures the exterior enhancing the volumes’ geometry. finely filleted slits define apertures which reveal the interior as though viewed through a lenticular lens. the structural fabric ebbs and flows in a system designed through an extensive series of scripts able to adapt to changes in the program of the pavilion and its surroundings.
