born of the flow of wind and legendary flying robes, the new concept car from mazda, taiki, embodies motion in its formal lines. two flows invert and overlap to create a clamshell that cradles the entrails of the vehicle. subtle reveals show the car’s interiors as well as the nesting of the two outer shells. subtle lines stretch like tendons across the ribcage of the car, disappearing and reappearing as functional fins across its grille. its doors appear seamless with the ability to crack the external shell and rotate upward in wing-like extension.
