suckerPUNCH: describe your project.
john VICENTE: the bugatti renaissance gt is an exercise to rejuvenate the prestigious bugatti franchise by developing a new hyper car destined to eclipse the veyron’s aesthetic and performance abilities.
the challenge was to create a new bugatti language communicating futuristic aesthetics, elegant details, and sporty characteristics while complimenting traditional bugatti design cues from the 30s and 40s. much like kaban’s and giugiaro’s previous inception of modern bugatti concepts in the 90’s, the renaissance stays true to its origins but pushes the design language further by appropriating modern design cues from contemporary design.
