On Saturday September 7, at 6 pm at Ara Pacis museum in Rome, CITYVISION, in partnership with NuFactory and OUTDOOR international street art festival, will present Sick & Wonder / Best Act, the most important annual event curated by the roman based urban lab for contemporary architecture. The OUTDOOR Festival, now in its fourth edition, has raised re-appropriation of urban spaces as a place of meeting, exchange, inter-cultural and inter-generational dialogue.

OUTDOOR became an unique platform to interact with other forms of creativity. Among these, the architecture is certenly playing a key role. This explains the partnership with CityVision.
During the eleventh edition of the PECHA KUCHA NIGHTTM ROMA the event will feature bloggers, gallery owners, opinion makers, architects, to arrive to the Rio Cityvision Competition Awards Ceremony.
The first prize goes to Donghua Chen from China with the project “Ceu de Janeiro” selected among 125 registered groups from all five continents .
All projects of the competition were judged by an exceptional jury panel composed composed by Aleandro Zaera-Polo, Jeffrey Inaba, Jeroen Koolhaas, Hernan Diaz Alonso, Pedro Rivera e Cristiano Toraldo Di Francia.
During the event will also be presented a special issue of Cityvision Magazine.
A new issue full of contents, widely devoted to the Sick & Wonder annual theme through sections, photos, graphics and esclusive projects to come up beside the results of Rio CityVision International Competition.
A full section will provide exclusive interviews to the jury members, while a special dossier will present the collection of IQ papers exclusively processed for Cityvision by the Quasar Institute – Design University of Rome.
Now in its fourth edition, the OUTDOOR festival presents itself as an open platform to show the urban art on different sides: street art, photography, architecture and film. Since 2010, the festival has hosted the biggest names in the street art world as L’ATLAS, C215, Sten & Lex, J B Rock, Herbert Baglione, Kid Acne, Agostino Iacurci, Momo, Zedz, Borondo and Sam3, thanks to the will of institutions, and private citizens who have contributed to the process of cultural change in the city of Rome.

With a team of architects and designers, Cityvision rises new urban dynamics through editorialprojects that subvert the traditional sense of publishing, through new format of dynamic talks, through a database of future visions on the city, experimental pavillions and original urban strategies. Cityvision uses its own cultural and strategic approach which generates a new architectural landscape.
Cityvision was created in 2010 by Francesco Lipari and Vanessa Todaro as a spin-off project of OFL Architecture.
PECHA KUCHA NIGHT / Tokio

PECHA KUCHA is a format born on 2003 in Tokyo by Klein Dytham office. Currently present in more than 100 cities of the world, Pecha Kucha is exclusively promoted in Rome by CityVision since 2011. Pecha Kucha is an onomatopoeic Japanese word used as an equivalent of the more common English word “chit-chat”, or chat. The innovative idea that characterizes Pecha Kucha Night, in fact, is the formula for the presentation of individuals projects that revolves around the mantra of 20×20.
Each involved creative has 20 slides of 20 seconds each to show its work in just 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
