The lecture is free and open to the public. Trummer is an architect and researcher based in Amsterdam. He currently is Professor and Head of the Institute for Urban Design & Spatial Planning at the University of Innsbruck, and formerly was Head of the Associative Design Research Program at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam.
Trummer has been a visiting faculty member at SCI-Arc, the Technical University in Munich, and has held the Roland Rainer Chair at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He lectures, teaches and is invited as a critic at the Berlage Institute, the AA in London, the University for Applied Art in Vienna, IAAC in Barcelona, SCI-Arc and Rice University. Recently he has published Essays in AD, Arch +, Hunch, Volume and Manifold.
Trummer received his Master Degree at the Technical University in Graz by Günther Domenig and finished his Postgraduate Study and the Berlage Institute in Amsterdam in 1997. He was an architect at UNStudio before establishing his own practice in 2001.
