    suckerPUNCH: Describe your project.
Ryosuke IMAEDA: This project offers unique opportunities for people to have multiple experiences that are curated through a confluence of architecture and fashion design.

The formation of this architecture is deeply attributed to the fabrication techniques of haute couture. The rigidity and flexibility of the geometries are controlled and arranged through the fashion exercises: maximizing individual properties, multiplying and juxtaposing material qualities, and achieving precise adjacency of the materials. Unlike the discourse of entire continuities and transitions in contemporary architecture, the local qualities of this building are sewn with extreme attention to detail where seams undertake the abrupt shifts between the different garments. The whole arrangement of the collection emerges from the tangency between the exterior and the interior. The exterior fabric and the inner lining of this architecture are fastened by a series of rivets. Towards the exterior it generates multiple seams that organize pieces of the fa├žade, while to the interior it forms multiple facets that people hardly perceive the distinction between the folds and the seams when they step into the space. The large seams outside are trimmed and rearranged into the scale of the facets inside, and therefore, people will be able to have a constellation of experiences throughout the circulations. The spaces for this architecture are, thus, tailored through the bespoke set of materiality and forms that produce rich boutique settings within a single architectural entity. Beyond reductive and abstract ontology, this formative exploration with the greatest precision will embellish the palette of the modern architecture, on which many colors of experiences will emerge and further illuminate the spectrum of the city of Miami.
