    Merit award from the New York American Society of Landscape Architects was recently awarded to Petra Mager, Alison Duncan, Sarah Ludington, Gareth Mahon, Stephanie Saulmon, and Julie Torres Moskovitz/Fabrica 718 for their project for the East River State Park.

    This project integrates waterfront access, community art, educational opportunities, and the use of sustainably-designed technology to create a much-needed public space. This vision for the waterfront is now being used by park officials and local organizations as a roadmap for future park development.

    east lansing MICHIGAN

    michigan state university will break ground on the iconic eli and edythe broad art museum at 10 a.m. tuesday, march 16, at the museum site just west of the collingwood entrance on the msu campus. the ceremony will be followed by a program at 11 a.m. in the pasant theatre of the wharton center.

    both events are open to the public. the broads, who have donated $28 million for the project, and zaha HADID, the award-winning architect who designed the building, are expected to attend.
