    Gage / Clemenceau Architects, the firm described as “avant-garde” by the New York Times, recently completed a store in Hong Kong for Nicola Formichetti, fashion director of Mugler and creative director for Lady Gaga and Uniqlo. The flagship concept store is located inside Lane Crawford IFC with four satellite locations around Hong Kong. The project is an experimental fusion of architecture, fashion, social media, and visual special effects. Labeled the “future of retail environments”, the store houses a collection of original outfits from the personal archives of Lady Gaga as well as numerous other designs by Formichetti, including products from his new “Nicopanda” brand.

  • Newly Drawn: Emerging Finnish Architects

    Discussions between NEWLY DRAWN emerging Finnish firms and New York based winning firms of the AIANY’s New Practices and the Architectural League’s Emerging Voices. The roundtable sessions will focus on sharing and comparing experiences of setting up architectural practices in Helsinki and NY.     mark GAGE/ marc BAILLY: During July, August and September of this year, Gage / Clemenceau Architects is collaborating on the design and production of a temporary installation with Nicola Formichetti, Fashion Director for Lady Gaga, Creative Director for Mugler as well as fashion stylist to Uniqlo, MAC and V Magazine. This collaboration is intended to produce an installation that experimentally fuses ideas from both fashion and architecture into a new type of physical environment, accessible to the general public, for a two week period coinciding with Fashion Week in New York City, in September 2011.
